A child does not need an email address of their own. Onboard them through a guardian, and the invoices, the appointment reminders and the portal access go to the people who actually handle them.
Not every client has an email address of their own, and for a child the person you write to is their parent. Choose "Communication via guardian" when you add the client and a Guardian details step takes the place of their email and phone, so the child is onboarded as themselves while everything reaches their guardian: the invoices, the appointment reminders, and a portal they sign in to on the child's behalf. Add the second parent and you decide what each of them gets, so both can be billed on one invoice that names them together, both can hear about the appointments, and both can hold their own portal access. A parent is one record however many children they bring to you, so one login covers the family, and what a guardian sees of each child stays the same: appointments, documents to sign, assessments and invoices, never their journal or their messages.
